Elopement Party at The Scranton Club | Carly & Nick’s Untraditional Celebration

Not every wedding needs to follow the rules, and Carly & Nick are proof that doing it your own way might just be the best way.

These two did the legal part earlier this year at the courthouse, then threw an unforgettable post-elopement party at The Scranton Club in downtown Scranton, PA. They packed the space with 100 of their favorite people and skipped all the expected traditions — no first dance, no formal timeline, just a celebration that felt true to them.

The night started with cocktails, led into two surprise parent dances that had the whole room emotional, and turned into a full-on dance floor takeover. Every moment felt natural and unforced — the kind of atmosphere that only happens when the couple is actually enjoying themselves and not worrying about a minute-by-minute schedule.

I had the honor of capturing both photography and content for Carly & Nick’s night — which meant I could document everything from the big dance floor moments to the in-between magic: side conversations, spontaneous cheers, outfit details, and all the energy you feel but don’t always see.

Whether you're eloping, going non-traditional, or saving the big celebration for later — this is your sign that whatever version of "wedding" you're dreaming of is worth documenting the right way.
